Where to begin…? We simply could not have achieved our dream wedding without Sally. I was fully intending on being a DIY bride, saving money by doing things myself and had spent 18 months planning every little detail - but then we had to postpone multiple times due to COVID lockdowns and I found out I was going to be 37 weeks pregnant at the next intended date. Knowing I wouldn’t be physically able to do everything I wanted to do - I looked for help and found an angel in Sally.
The wedding planning had become a trigger for our anxiety and something we had stopped thinking and talking about. But after our first video call with Sally we were both able to breathe a sign of relief- she was taking on all the hard work for us. We were finally able to start getting excited about the wedding again and focus on enjoying ourselves. Her experience means she knows what is important and what isn’t and she was able to provide advice on things I would have missed had I done it myself!
Sally went above and beyond her duties - she did a site visit for us; she contacted all the vendors; she met us the day before to see all of my pre-prepared DIY items which had spent years in storage; on the day she was able to hold handbags, take a quick photo missed by the photographers; keep us on track on the run sheet and brought us a picnic basket of food to ensure we didn’t miss out! Her assistant Rachel took care of my bouquet when it wasn’t needed and returned it when it was! Things I would have wasted valuable time on the day doing instead of enjoying it.
Sally was exceptional and nothing was too much of an ask and I will be forever grateful to her for making our day so memorable and magical!

Sally and her team were amazing wedding co-ordinators!! We brought in Sally a month out from our wedding day, as we had lots of different suppliers to co-ordinate on the day for our DIY "wedfest" wedding! Sally really took the stress out of the last few weeks of wedding planning - she made a detailed run-sheet and liaised with all the vendors with regards their arrival and departure and took over all the niggly logistics like cables and power, etc! On the day itself, Sally and her team were all over everything, whilst blending in seamlessly! Moving furniture, making sure the day was moving through, etc! I highly recommend Sal and her team and if you are thinking about it for your wedding, you won't regret it!!

Sally and the Upon A Star team were a great find for our wedding. Our wedding was at a DIY venue, and ahead of the wedding Sally advised on what we would need for the day, and remind us of all kinds of things we hadn’t thought of. On the weekend of the wedding, Sally and her team were invaluable, setting up the day before, making sure absolutely everything ran smoothly on the day, and packing up the day after the wedding. Sally was prepared for everything on the day and remembered all of the little details, and it meant we didn’t have to think about a thing, and could completely enjoy the day from start to finish. Sally was AMAZING! We booked Sal as our on-the-day wedding coordinator, but she was so helpful and responsive the whole way through.
The real magic happened about 2 weeks out, when she breezed in and took a huge amount of stress off us - you don't realise when you start planning, but no matter how organised you are, the last few weeks before the wedding are manic!
We couldn't be happier with the outstanding service provided by Sally from Upon a Star Special Events and it's been awesome having someone who cares even more about our wedding than we do.

My partner and I choose Upon a Star to assist with our wedding planning. Our wedding coordinator/planner Sally was absolutely amazing - what a life saver. Getting Sally involved to organise our wedding was the best thing we did.
Sally made us feel comfortable and at ease from the beginning and took so much of the pressure off us. We did not know where to start planning a wedding, but Sally guided us from the get go.
We had about three meetings before the wedding where Sally provided great suggestions and recommendations around local hair, makeup, flowers, MC's, music etc and listened to exactly what we wanted and how to achieve this. Sally also discussed things we hadn't even thought of that we would have missed otherwise!
Another great thing Sally did was make an document with the exact timings of everything that was taking place on the day (colour coordinated and all). Sally then emailed this out to everyone (MC, band, celebrant, bride and groom).
Sally and her staff were there on the day to set up everything, run through with bridal party walking down the aisle arrangements - pretty much everything to make the day run smoothly and hassle free. It honestly took away the stress from my partner and I having Sally involved. We were able to relax and have the best day knowing everything was in great hands. Thank you Sally xxx

When I was planning my wedding, I wanted to ensure that my partner and I would be able to fully enjoy the day, feel calm and be present. When I first inquired and had my initial meeting with Sally, I instantly knew that I would love to working with her!
Sally was practical and knowledgeable about the area I was hosting the wedding. She had a wealth of experience in her area of event co-ordination, and is an expert in guiding conversations and the processes to support you in organising your event. Moreover, what I enjoyed the most was that she was genuine, passionate and had such an easy-going professionalism in all of her exchanges.
In the lead up to the event, the support and organisation that Sally and her team provided was so invaluable! She dedicated time, effort and energy into ensuring that all details, vendors and information was consistent, while also being a source of grounded support in what can be a challenging time. Sally was able to pre-emptively think about things and problem solve in situations that I wouldn't have even imagined! When ever I received a message or email from her, it was more a sigh of relief rather than a dreaded feeling.
On the day, Sally and Rachael were the key people who made the whole day possible! While I sat with rollers in my hair, I knew whole-heartedly that I didn't need to stress as they were all over it! They were professional and thoughtful not only to all guests, but to all vendors. We really are so appreciative of their support and efforts, in making our day so special.
Overall I would highly recommend Sally and her team! She is an absolute gem, and anyone would be lucky to have her as someone on their side when planning any big day. Thanks a million Sal x

Words cannot express what absolute superstars Sal and Vicky were! The weather changed so quickly that we didn't even have time to implement our wet weather plan but Sal and Vicky thought on their feet and made the day absolutely perfect! Our day wouldn't have been possible without them!
Whenever I speak to an engaged couple now I tell them to call Sal! I cannot recommend the services of a co-ordinator enough. It gives you peace of mind. I was so calm and relaxed on my wedding day because I knew all the organising was in such good hands!

As our venue didn't help with any of the set up of our decor, I knew I needed to hire someone who shared my vision and who I could trust. Found the pricing was more than affordable for the service provided and the process was easy. Sally was great to chat with and easy going, loved how easy it was to talk to Sally and all the help provided was amazing. Always contactable and went above and beyond to help with the planning process. Never felt uncomfortable to raise anything and any questions no matter how small were answered immediately despite how busy Sally must have been we always felt like a priority. I think if it wasn’t for Sally I doubt the day would have gone the way it did. There were things I didn’t even think of and the help along the way was beyond fantastic. The day would not have been the day it was without Upon a Star. The service was above and beyond I don’t think the amount I paid was enough for what we received. We could not have asked for a better day so thank you and thank you for everything you guys did you went above and beyond for us and no amount of money would have been enough for what you helped create.

You were so incredibly helpful in the last stages of planning, I was not even stressed going into the day because I knew you had it sorted. Then on the day, it was an absolute breeze.
